Balancing Act of
Managing Stress, Time,  and Relationships at Work

Did School Prepare You for the Day-to-Day Challenges and Chaos of Your Career?

After years of study and significant investment, you’ve undoubtedly acquired excellent technical skills and clinical approaches for working with clients.
But were you truly prepared for the complexities of human interaction?
Before your work becomes truly fulfilling, there’s often a significant gap that only experience can bridge, right?

Are you a young and enthusiastic dental hygienist?
It might have been a year or two since you graduated, but do you feel that additional training is needed once you start working in a dental clinic?
Or perhaps even broadening your skills and establishing your own practice?

Are you an expert and enthusiastic dental hygienist?
Years may have passed since your graduation, and perhaps the initial spark has dimmed, or you find joy in work mainly on Fridays 😉

Yet, you love your profession deeply, carrying a wealth of experience that could fill a book on dental hygiene.

  • Do you feel trapped between dentist’s expectations, patient’s complaints and your wish to finish all tasks… perfectly?
  • Do you feel overwhelmed every time you see your packed schedule, and you know you’ll end up falling behind by the end of the day?
  • Do you then start thinking about changing the clinic, or taking more days off, or even having another career?
  • Do you feel seen but not heard?

Making One Important Decision…

Eight years ago, I was in that very spot.

After a fulfilling career as a pediatric and preventive dentist, years of teaching at the university, and extensive clinical and research work, I faced a pivotal choice: I decided to immigrate to another country!

My family and I settled in Montreal, Canada, a challenging transition fraught with difficulties in navigating and integrating into a new society, supporting my children, and striving to qualify again in my beloved profession.
I embraced dental hygiene for its fundamental values of prevention, preservation, and oral health maintenance.

Once I received my work permit, I embarked on my second dental career journey.

This time, however, I was a technical staff member, working under tight schedules, supervised by a dentist, in private practice settings – a challenging transition indeed.

Reaching The Breaking Point…

The workload quickly became unbearable.

Faced with numerous patients, countless tasks, and limited time, alongside clinical plans and performance expectations,
I felt incompetent, inadequate, and slow to adapt – helpless and lost.
It seemed that all my accumulated knowledge was insufficient.

That is until I made a decisive cut, leading to a clear decision.

I chose to double down on my commitment to my profession and transform my approach. I aimed to change perceptions, adopt a new viewpoint, learn more quickly, and rediscover joy in this beautiful work.

The Skill That Made the Difference…

Over five years ago, I began documenting behavioral patterns in dental clinical settings, focusing on multilingual and multicultural contexts.

However, it was the mastery of intuitive verbal and non-verbal languages that proved to be the ultimate game-changer.

The deliberate and proficient use of intuitive communication transformed my career, becoming my most valuable asset.

Day after day, the patients’ interactions were revealing more to learn about and thrive. Stress was fading away, and my focus remained uninterrupted. That helped me understand my patient’s needs on a deeper level in a shorter time.

One of the most powerful tools that you can discover in cultivating your own emotional resilience as a dental hygienist is the art of keen observing people’s behavior and listening – screening – their stories.

That is how we become skilled in tailoring communication approaches to each individual patient, guiding conversations with empathy and understanding. By acknowledging their fears and addressing them with compassion, patients’ become more open and receptive to their oral health care.

And the benefits don’t stop there. As I witnessed patients’ engagement and interest in their treatment plans grow, my own energy soared. Just a mere thought that I was making a meaningful difference in their lives filled me with a sense of purpose and fulfillment that supported me through even the most challenging days.

If harnessing this kind of superpower appeals to you, I have a special invitation…

Managing Stress, Time, and Relationships at work

What will you learn and apply in only four weeks:

In Module 1 we’ll explore the Foundations of Intuitive Communication in Dental Hygiene. You’ll understand the essence of intuitive communication and recognize the impact of applying it in daily practice. You’ll know how to decode non-verbal cues and be fluent in observing clusters, as well as framing the correct context for every conversation.

In Module 2 we’ll define the Art of Efficient Communication. You’ll identify and adopt different communication styles. And continue connecting the dots between clinical conditions and behavior. You’ll be able to expand that knowledge in effectively communicating within the dental team.

In Module 3 we’ll demystify Conflict Resolution. You’ll learn how to reduce stress through communication. And learn various strategies, from respiration modifications, voice tone to pace control that will keep you safe and calm. You’ll prioritize open dialogue with ease.

In Module 4 we’ll learn how strong and efficient relationships are built. You’ll apply incremental technique, follow-up and adjustment in behavioral management. You’ll be comfortable in asking for support you need from the dental team and coordinate seamless patient care.

After only one month…

  • You’ll be creating your schedule using the systems that will save you time.
  • You’ll clearly convey messages to patients and team members and get all support in return.

WHY YOU SHOULD ACT NOW

CROSSROADS

Here’s your life WITHOUT doing this course

○ WITHOUT doing this course, everything will go on as it is now.

Maybe you will change the place of work or find another side job. Another team, another clinic, another group of patients to treat, but soon known challenges will come back. Lack of time, poor support, miscommunication, short breaks, long hours, squeezing more patients. Fatigue.

Here’s your life when you DO this course

○ When you DO this course, you discover and rediscover how much strength and passion is in your heart and mind.

Becoming aware of perceptions and understanding, you know how to preserve your emotions, lead the communication, engage every patient to be actively present and collaborate in each visit.

You regain authority, act with integrity and put your expertise in front.

You control the narrative and explore by communicating intuitively. Follow up your patients in simple defined systems and they will follow you.

More and more, your patients will volunteer by saying to the dentist: Today, I had a great time talking to Jane. I’ve learned so much! Soon enough, the dentist will be interested to know how you do it.

You are a dedicated, knowledgeable, and responsible oral health care professional, and I firmly believe that “no-man’s-land” is not where dental hygiene should be.

You deserve to take control over your time, career and life balance!

I’m excited to work with you, my dear fellow dental hygienist who share this dedication and thirst for knowledge, determined to thrive and diversify your career!

To your infinite horizon,
Much love –
